Bhoomi, on working with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali admitted that she was only two years old when she discovered a passion for singing. But this journey to Bollywood was not a bed of roses for her. She was auditioned for Indian Idol season 3 in 2007 but had to quit the show soon because of jaundice. Again, after successfully auditioning for Indian Idol season 4 and becoming one of the finalists, she had to leave her dream because of the sudden death of her aunt. Later, she finally fulfilled her dream and passion in season 5 with flying colors and now she has a successful Bollywood career and a part of a national award-winning Gujrati film Hellaro
Bhoomi comes from a musical family in Vadodara, Gujarat. She was passionate about music since she was small and started learning it from class 8. Her family was a railway employee who, too is fond of music. Boomi’s mother is a folk singer who has her own music group. Her elder sister is an engineer by profession and a trained Bharata Natyam dancer too.

Boomi Trivedi became the first runner up of season 5 of Indian Idol. Her Bollywood career leaped at that. Her famous albums are Ram Chahe Leela from Gooliyon ki Raasleela: Ramleela( 2013), Udi Udi Jaye from Raees( 2017), Husn Parcham from Zero(2018) which earned her nomination for IIFA – award for the best female playback singer, Zee Cine Awards for best playback singer – female and prestigious awards like Guild award for best female playback singer, Mirchi Music Awards for Critics Choice Upcoming Female Vocalist of the Year.
In 2012, Bhoomi began her music career singing, bahne dey, for the film, prem maybe. However, she became popular with her rendition in golliyon ki Raas Leela: Raam Leela, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production. Her song, ram chahe Leela chahe became an instant success. The sing received critical acclamations and viewers loved it. Other than Bollywood, Boomi has sung several Gujarati songs like vaagyo re dhol from the film hellaro, which won the national award.
