Daisy Shah an Indian film actress, model, and dancer was born in 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has first worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya before making her debut as a special appearance guest in the 2010 bilingual action thriller Vandae Maatharam. But her first debut as a lead role was in 2011 in Kannada film Bodyguard. After the success, she then appeared opposite Salman Khan in the 2014 Bollywood film Jai Ho. In 2015, she also became a part of the Hate Story franchise – Hate Story 3.

Early life
Daisy Shah originally belongs to a Gujarati family, but was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya in famous films like Zameen and Khakee and later moved to s modeling, doing photo shoots and print ads. Kannada director Harsha approached her for the film Chingari. She was selected to play the role of Ammu in the Kannada version of Bodyguard. After that, she shot for two item songs in the Kannada film Bachchan and the Hindi film Bloody Isshq. She also did an item song known as ” Neeli Lomdi ” in the Hindi film Khuda Kasam, starring Sunny Deol and Tabbu.
Shah won the Miss Photogenic award in the MS Dombivli contest at a local mall when she was in class 10. She studied arts at Mumbai’s Khalsa College and later went on to become a model and worked under Ganesh Acharya for three years before getting lead roles in Kannada films. Her latest film release Race 3 was a super hit.
Filmography
Her first on-screen appearance was for the song “Langan Lagi” from the film Tere Naam in 2003. She was seen as a co dancer with Salman khan. Next in 2006, she was featured in the song Humko Deewana Kar Gaye from Rockstar as a co-dancer. She also danced on the Tamil item song Nagina Bemisal hoon. Next again, the audience saw her in 2010 with Sanjay Dutt on the song Thodisi pee lee hai. She made a special appearance for the Tamil film Vande Mataram in 2010. Not only that,she also made a special appearance in the Hindi song Neeli Lomdi from the film Khuda Kasam.
We saw her playing major roles in films from 2011 onwards. Firstly, she brilliantly played the role of ammo in the Kannada film bodyguard. Her performance was widely accepted and praised. This role brought her into prominence and she started to receive further requests from filmmakers. In the same year, she did the role of Kavya in another Kannada film titled Bhadra. The film was again a success, bringing more fame to her name. Following her initial success, she continued getting scripts for various films and was very actively seen on the silver screen. In 2013, her two movies came out named bloody Ishq and Bachchan.

Next, her Hindi movie Jai ho was released in 2014 starring opposite to Salman khan. The movie was featured tabu in lead roles. Needless to say, the brilliant performance of the cast made it a huge success at the box office. Daisy played the role of Ricky shah, a fun-loving, sweet, and loving girl. Afterward, she was seen making a special appearance in the song meri Jawani sode ki bottle from a spark.
The list is never-ending. She featured in the Kannada film Aakramana as Nireeksha. Yet again, the audience was Mesmerised by the amazing performance. Her biggest hit probably came out in 2015 titled hate story 3. It’s a thriller Hindi film of the hate story series where she played the role of Kaya Sharma. She did surprisingly well, Living up to the expectations of the viewers and critics. She latest release in Race 3 in 2018, starring opposite to Salman khan,Saqib Saleem, Jacqueline Fernandez, and many other major actors.

Daisy won Big Star Most Entertaining Actor Award for the film Jai Ho in 2015 and the Arab Info Bollywood Award for the Most Promising Debut – Female in 2015 for her film Jai Ho.
