However, the Censor Board of Film Certification in India has passed the film with a UA rating after deleting some sex scenes to reduce the length of the film.
The cuts in the film were made by the studio itself, because they did not think that the CBFC would allow these scenes.
It is being told in the report that CBFC had asked the filmmakers to mute only one word and also demanded to remove it from the subtitles.
But the board retained the shot where Jean Tatlock (Florence Pugh) gets intimate and asks Oppenheimer (Cilian Murphy) to read the Bhagavad Gita.
People got angry after seeing Oppenheimer
After watching this scene in the film, people got angry. The film is being criticized. Many people are calling this scene “derogatory”. Taking out his anger, a user wrote – There is a scene in the film, where a nude girl brings Bhagavad Gita to Oppenheimer and he reads it while having sex. At least after lot of controversy Hollywood film ‘Oppenheimer’, it has been finally released in India on 21st July. The film is earning a lot of money at the box office.
