Himesh Reshammiya Biography
Early Life
Popular music director Himesh Reshammiya has started his musical career with the film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. Since then he never had to look back. Born and brought up in a Gujarati family that supported him throughout his journey made him believe in his brilliance. His father, Vipin Reshammiya is a well-known music composer.
Career
At only the age of 26, he started producing many TV series including Andaz, Ahha, Amar Prem on Zee TV. His amazing compositions impressed Salman Khan so much that he made him compose his debut music in Bollywood. When the songs became a hit no one could set him back. He composed for Bandhan and Hello Brother after that. He got his project as the sole composer for Salman Khan production’s Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. At the very beginning of 2020’s composition of a set of musical numbers for the movie Tere Naam Himesh set out to create a place for himself in every Bollywood fans’ heart.
Achievements
- He won various awards including Zee Cine Award for Best Music Director and Screen Award for Best Music Director in 2004.
- He started his career as a playback singer with “Aashiq Bananya Aapne” for which he received several awards such as Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer,
- IIFA Award for Best Male Playback, and Zee Cine Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
- His gave numerous hit numbers like “Jhalak Dikhlaja”, “Tera Suroor”, “Meri Awargi”, “Hookah Bar” and the list goes on.
While being asked about his charming and polite behavior he said that he is a low-profile guy who is also shy; though sometimes people see it as arrogance.
Married Life
Himesh Reshammiya, at a very early age, got married to Komal with whom he has a son named Swayam. Though the couple was together for a long time, they decided to separate mutually in 2016. On May 11, 2018, he married his long-time rumored girlfriend Sonia Kapoor who is an actor by profession.

Sum Up
Himesh made a huge fan base for his fusion of Western and Indian music. He has been the first Indian musician to perform at Wembley Arena in London and Heineken music hall in Amsterdam. He also worked as an actor in movies like Aap Ka Suroor, The Xpose and The Xpose Returns, Happy Hardy and Heer, Karzzzz, Khiladi 786. Though he has not been seen on screen for a long time, he has confirmed the rumors of him being starring in the biopic of soldier Bishnu Shrestha based on the Maurya Express train robbery. Himesh has also produced some of the previously mentioned films. He has been acting as a mentor and judge in the popular TV reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV. He has also been a part of Star Plus’s music show Music Ka Maha Muqqabla and Sur Kshetra. Reshammiya did not only act or produce films but also tried his hand as a story writer.
