Ripal Patel’s Early life
Ripal’s full name is Ripal Vinubhai Patel, an Indian cricketer, was born in Nadiad of Gujarat, India. Patel plays in the Indian Domestic Cricket for the Gujarat team. He was born to a middle-class Gujarati family. His Parents’ names and family information are not available yet. As soon as we get any updates we will share this here. Since a young age, Ripal has had a knack for sports activities and was fond of watching cricket Matches. His favorite cricketers were Steve Smith and Sachin Tendulkar. Ripal aspired to be a cricketer from childhood and his parents supported him in every possible way. But struggle came when he found out that his hometown Nadiyad has lacked sports infrastructure.
Cricket journey
Ripal started his coaching under the guidance of coach Vishwajeet Solanki who also happens to be the coach of one of his Gujarat teammates Axar Patel who now plays for Delhi Capitals in IPL. Patel always admires and admits the contribution of Axar in his development in cricket. Patel first debuted in Zonal T20 League for Gujarat and his performance was very much impressed that he was able to catch the attraction of Cricket Personae and sports critiques. He is a right-hand batter and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. After this, he made his List A debut for Gujarat in the year 2019 in 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy against the team Bengal scoring 9 runs.
In 2020, Ripal did not succeed to make his entry to the player auction of the IPL 2020 season because of his series of bad performances in domestic cricket of Gujarat throughout the season of 2019. He trialed for Rajasthan Royals in the same year but luck did not favor him that time.
However, as there is always a light for everyone after passing through a dark tunnel, Patel got back on track with his excellent performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy where he scored 30 runs of an over against the team of Chhattisgarh. His splendid performance and the contribution towards the winning of his team has again become the point of discussion for the sports critiques. And, finally in 2021 Ripal made his dream fulfilled as he got the chance to play for Delhi Capitals and he was bought by Delhi Capitals for 20 lakh INR in the auction. Patel says, he was very much excited to get the chance and it is a golden opportunity for him to be surrounded by phenomenal players like Steve Smith, Rishabh Pant, Chris Woakes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Marcus Stoinis, and Sikhar Dhawan.
Patel has played 11 T20 Matches so far and scored a total score of 191 runs with an average of 31.83. At the Domestic level, his highest score is 41 runs in T20 Innings. He has no half-century to his name so far in the domestic level.
