Sachin–Jigar is one of Bollywood’s top music composers who have been able to make audiences swoon over their music. The composer duo met through Amit Trivedi at first and decided to create music together. They have created more than 500 plays and have appeared on television for various programs more than 5000 times over the years. Early life

Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya are Gujarati, and they started their careers in Mumbai. Jigar got introduced to Sachin through another legendary music creator Amit Trivedi, while he was working as an assistant music director with Rajesh Roshan. After they formed a connection through music, decided to work together. They started with assisting and setting musical arrangements for Pritam. Later, they worked with almost all the big names in the Bollywood music industry, such as A. R. Rahman, Anu Malik, Amit Trivedi, Vishal – Shekhar, Nadeem – Shravan, and many more.

Their first composition was released when they were working with Pritam in the movie Life Partner in 2009. Later, in 2011, they got their first project as an independent music director duo for the movie F.A.L.T.U. Some of the songs became a real hit. 

Compositions

After the ever first solo movie project, they composed for the movie Hum Tum Shabana and Shor in the City in the same year.  Saibo song became a big hit and got appreciated by critics. After that, they created awesome music for each of the movies, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), Kya Super Cool Hain Hum (2012), OMG: Oh My God! (2012), and Ajab Gazaab Luv Story (2012). Then, they went on to compose the full album of ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013) and Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story (2013). They made one song for Himmatwala (2013), two for I, Me Aur Hum (2013), and the whole album for Go Goa Gone (2013) and Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013).

They continued to compose the full albums of Shudh Desi Romance (2013) and Isaac (2013) in collaboration with Yash Raj Films. In 2014 they composed for Dharma Productions in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Then, they created music for Entertainment and Happy Ending. While working for these films they got to collaborate with famous writer duo Sajid – Farhad. In the same year, they made everyone groove with the song, Dance Basanti for the film Ungli. They continued to win the hearts of the audience with their music in Badlapur (2015) and ABCD 2 (2015). Both the movies had soulful music which resulted in becoming huge blockbusters. Sachin – Jigar, after that, made two songs in Hero under Salman Khan Films banner.

The full album of A Flying Jatt (2017), and two original songs for Hindi Medium (2017) were made by them. The song, Suit Suit by Guru Randhawa, became an instant hit, and even today, people groove with it. Their next album for the movie Meri Pyari Bindu (2017) can melt hearts very easily. The whole album is full of melodious romantic music that everyone can listen to at any time. In the same year, they composed some mesmerizing numbers for Haseena: The Queen of MumbaiSimranBhoomi, and A Gentleman. The quirky background score of A Gentleman was also their creation. Sachin – Jigar’s Next composition for Stree (2018) was a big hit and was at the top of the chart. They composed songs and background scores for Gold (2018) and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018).

They created music for Arjun Patiyala (2019), Made in China (2019), and Bala (2019). Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala was the very first movie where the actor did not sing any song. The composer duo has also appeared in Coke Studio India, where they overwhelmed the mass with their performance. 

Sachin – Jigar has also composed songs for regional movies like Telugu film D for Dopidi (2013), Gujarati films Bey Yaar (2014), Wrong Side Raju (2016), Love Ni Bhavai (2017), and many more.

Jigar – Sachin as Singers

Sachin – Jigar, the excellent duo, has also given their voice as solo performers in many musical numbers. Jigar’s voice has been witnessed in many songs such as More Saiyan and Rab Mileya (Tere Sang – 2009), O Teri, Beh Chala, Bhoot Aaya (F.A.L.T.U. – 2011), Sorry Sorry, Chandu Ki Girlfriend (ABCD – 2013), Babaji Ki Booty, Slowly Slowly, I Keel Ded Peepul (Go Goa Gone– 2013), Gulabi (Shudh Desi Romance – 2013) and the list goes on.

Sachin, on the other hand, has sung Happy B’Day (ABCD 2 – 2015), Beat Pe Booty (A Flying Jatt – 2016), Bhuli Javu Che, Yaad Chhe (Gujarati film Chor Bani Thangaat Kare – 2017), Kho Diya (Bhoomi – 2017), etc. 

Awards

Sachin Jigar has won the 6th Gujarat Gauravvant Award in 2013 and GIFA: Best Music Album for Wrong Side Raju in 2016. They have been nominated in Mirchi Music Awards for four categories for ABCD 2 and Badlapur in 2015. In 2017, they were nominated in three categories for Meri Pyaari Bindu and Hindi Medium.
