Siddharth Randeria is a famous Gujarati theatre actor. He is also a skilled director and writer. He has successfully produced numerous plays. Siddharth Randeria is, no doubt, one of the most renowned theatre personalities in Gujarat. He is ruling over the theatre stage for over 45 years. He has given more than 12,000 live stage performances till now. Siddharth has traveled abroad many times, and every time the number of the audience increased.
Siddharth Randeria was born on December 17, 1955, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father, Madhukar Randeria, was a professor at Jai Hind College in Mumbai. He was a well-known poet, writer, and actor. Siddharth followed his father’s path to become a successful theatre actor. During his teenage, he used to act in the Indian National Theatre’s Children Plays.
Siddharth began his on-stage performances at the age of 9 with All India Radio. He also used to take part in inter-college drama contests that were held by INT, Mumbai University, IPTA, etc. In his initial days, Siddharth has won multiple awards for being the best actor. Later, in 1975, he started working as a production assistant for Mumbai Doordarshan Kendra’s Gujarati section.

Siddharth Randeria’s career as a professional actor began in 1974 with renowned Pravin Joshi’s directorial play. He acted in KhadhuPidhu ne TaraajKaryu. Some of his most successful dramas are Jooth Bole Kaua Kate (1976), Vairi (1975), Gurubrahma (1991), Mantra Mugdha (1993), Bhai (1992), Mahamaanav (1990), Savita Damodar Paranjape (1985), and CheelZadap (1988).
Siddharth Randeria has shared the stage with celebrated actors like Paresh Rawal, Arundhati Rao, Shankar Nag, KantiMadia, Reema Lagoo, Shafi Inamdar, Mohan Vagh, Sarita Joshi, Mahesh Manjrekar, V.V Shirvadkar, and many more.
Siddharth’s Gujjubhai series stands out from all the hits. The series began in 2002 with Gujjubhai E Gaam Gajaavyu, followed by Lage RahoGujjubhai in 2007, Lo GujjubhaiGhodeChadya in 2010, Gujjubhaini Golmaal in 2012. Lage Raho Gujjubhai had broken all the records of Gujarati theatre by completing more than 800 shows within 3 years. The next parts of the Gujjubhai series are Gujjubhai Banya Dabangg (2015), Rang RangilaGujjubhai (2017), and the last Bluffmaster Gujjubhai (2019).
The success of Gujjubhai gained another level when Siddharth Randeria made his debut in the Gujarati film industry with Gujjubhai the Great in 2015. Later in 2018, the sequel Gujjubhai – Most Wanted was released, which also became an instant hit.
Siddharth Randeria has worked in over 70 productions over the years. Some of his popular plays are Ram Vina nu Ramaatan (1978), Santu Rangeeli (1978), Lakshagrah (1980), Vaalam Rishaye Vasant ma (1981), Ek Laal niRaani (1084), Buddha e Mari Boundary (1986), Eni Sugandh No Dariyo (1986), Aankh Michi ne Bolo Jay Hind (1987), Vaghnakh (1989), Pati na Naame Patangiyu (1993), VaatBahar Jay Nahi (1997), Saatmi Dikari Nu Saatmi Santan (1999), Khandan (2002), Ame Lai Gaya Tame Rahi Gaya (2003), Bas Kar Bakula (2005), and the list goes on.
Except for the Gujjubhai series, Siddharth Randeria has also acted in some films both in Hindi and Gujarati which are Wrong Side Raju, Natsamrat, ChaalJeeviLaiye!, Khalnayak, Shortcut, and Kya Kehna. He has appeared on television with Kudkudiya House No. 43 and Waqt Ki Raftar.
