1. Echo Point

It is one of the most famous destinations near the Saputara hill station. Here, as we can understand from the name, the place is situated at a very high altitude, so it enables the tourists to hear the echo of what they shout. The nature is wild here, the wind is freezing. Tourists come for a different experience over here. There are many waterfalls beside Echo Point. This is one of the best place to visit in Saputara.

Timings and how to reach– The place is well-connected with all kinds of local transport. Once reached the hill station, no one will face a problem reaching Echo Point. The place is opened from 9 in the morning to 7 in the evening daily, and it has no entry fee. 

2. Vansda National Park

It is a famous National Park that covers almost 23 square km of land. It is situated almost 40kms away from the Saputara hill station. It has a lot of species of animals like leopards, wild bears, hyenas, etc. for tourists to see. And it is also home to many birds and plant species like kalam, sisam, etc.

Timings and how to reach– One can hire a car or cab from Saputara to reach here, or the nearest railway stations to the park are Waghai and Bilmora. The park is opened from 6 in the morning to 5 in the evening every day and charges an amount of 500 per person.

3. Saputara Lake

The lake is another beautiful spot to enjoy. It is a man-made lake with lots of trees all around. The lake is situated about 1.5 km away from the hill station. Tourists can do boating in the Lake. There are many children’s parks beside the lake. And also, food stalls and tea stalls there.

Timings and how to reach– The most apt time to visit the Lake is after the monsoon. The place is open from 9 AM to 8 PM every day and it has entry fees of RS. 35 per person. One can reach the Lake easily once he/she has reached the hill station by taking an auto-rickshaw. And, it is 250km and 85km away from Mumbai and Nashik respectively, so any means of local transport can be availed.

4. Sunset Point

It is one of the most beautiful places situated on the sunset road, which is just 1.7 km away from the hill station. From the point view of the sunset is very mesmerizing, and stunning. The view from the place is very nice, one can see tribal villages and forests from there. One can reach the point by taking a Ropeway, of which the journey is very beautiful.

Best Time to visit and how to reach- Although the place remains open for the whole year, the best time to visit the place is from March to November. The place is open for all with no charges taken for entry, but if one avails the ropeway then it will cost Rs. 62 per person. One can also take any cab or auto to reach the point from the hill station.

5. Pandava Gufa

This place is a very interesting tourist spot as it is related to the great epic Ramayana. It is said that this Gufa belonged to the Pandava brothers, they used to stay there while they did not have a place to live, and the Kauravas were searching for them to kill them. This place is also a very nice place for trekking with the Rocky Mountains and tribal valleys. It is situated in the Dang forest.

Timings and how to reach– The cave is open to all every day, and there is no entry fee applied to the tourists who visit there. The place is not very far from the hill station, so one can avail of any means of local transport to reach the place and then have to trek a bit to reach the cave.

6. Step Garden

This place is a very famous picnic spot for the local people or people staying nearby. The place is very beautifully made with very minute planning. The complete garden is made on a step pattern. A wide array of boxes can be found all around, the middle point is decorated with wooden shacks for the tourists to sit, with a very beautifully designed garden all around. Once you start walking the steps will start to increase and gains height, and the pattern continues till the end. The place has also a playground for kids, where they can enjoy it.

Timings and how to reach– The place is just 2kms away from the main city or the hill station, so one can avail of any means of local transport to reach. The place remains open from 8 in the morning to 12 noon and then again re-opens from 3 pm to 7 pm with an entry fee of Rs. 10 per head.

7. Table Point

The place is an often-visited tourist spot. The place is the viewpoint of the whole city. Due to the shape of the mountain which is the flat table-like surface on the top of a hill, the place is named the table point. This is a very adventurous place and will be loved by trek lovers. Here many activities like camel riding and horse riding are also available for the tourists to enjoy. It is situated in the Table Land Ghat.

Timings and how to reach– The place is suggested to be visited in the day as the view of the city could not be enjoyed if it’s dark. There is no entry fee applied and the place is open every day. One can reach the place availing any local transport, but there is no bus transport available, so personal vehicles need to be hired.

8. Gira Waterfalls

This is one of the most beautiful places to visit besides the hill station. The best time to visit the place is from June to November as during other times of the year the water is very less. It is a very stunning place for relaxing far from city life. It is situated in Girmal Village, near Ahwa, and the most popular waterfall in the city.

Timings and how to reach– The place of being a famous tourist spot is well connected. One can avail any bus going to Saputara and can get down just after the Waghai town and then just a 10-15 minutes’ walk to reach the falls. No entry fee is applicable.

9. Hatgadh Fort

This place is a very ancient place located between Maharashtra and Gujrat, about 5kms away from Saputara. It is located at an altitude of 3,600ft with an awesome view from the top of the entire valley and villages nearby. It is an awesome trekking place. Reservoirs of Ganga and Yamuna are present from which the whole village gets water.

Timings and how to reach– The place can be reached by availing any local vehicle from the hill station of Maharashtra or Gujrat, have to take an easy trekking route as it is the only way to reach the top. The place is opened from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening with no entry fee.

10.Saputara Tribal Museum

A Place to Visit in Saputara famously known as the Saputara museum. It is a small museum where insight into the lifestyle of the tribal people can be found. Many artifacts and things of their daily use like clothes, utensils, musical instruments are kept in the museum. The place is also the home for the history and lifestyle of many tribes of that region. It is situated on the Surat Nasik highway.

Timings and how to reach– As the museum is located at a very nice location one can avail of any means of local transport to reach the place. It remains open from 10 AM to 5:30 PM every day.
