Urvashi was born in Amreli of Gujarat state on 25th May 1990. She was born in a Gujarati Hindu family. Her father name was Madhubhai Radadiya and her mother was Sarojban Radadiya.
Urvashi also has a brother named Avadh Radadiya. Her career journey and childhood were not so smooth. She had to struggle a lot to reach the place she is now standing at.
From her childhood, Radadiya has had an immense interest in study. She aspired to be an IAS Policeman. But due to unfortunate series of events and unavoidable circumstances she had to take the charge of her household at only the age of 12.
Besides regular studies, Urvashi shared an immense interest and passion for music and started to take training when she was only 6 years old. Since then she never thought of quitting music and focused a lot more on her musical career.
At that time when her whole family was facing a financial crisis, Urvashi shared in an exclusive interview that her father’s income was only 3000 at that time but they never forced her to give up her dream to be a singer.
Rather they provided hr tuition cost and that made Urvashi more determined to shine as a musician.
Music journey of Urvashi Radadiya:
Radadiya had to struggle a lot throughout her journey. But her excellent hard work, neverending energy, and immense passion for music were well paid off.
And she is now one of the top leading Gujarati folk singers. Urvashi had learned classical music for 3 years. Due to her incomparable melodious voice, she used to be called Abida Parveen of Gujarat. But it was not a smooth journey for her.
At the early stage of her career, she got a program where the singer was absent, and due to this reason, Radadiya was given a chance to perform.
With her enchanting voice, she soon became a favorite of her audiences and gradually began to perform in Dyro and Garba.
Urvashi Radadiya mainly sings Gujarati songs but also she sings in Marathi, Rajasthani, Punjabi, and Hindi languages as well.
Radadiya has her specialty in Sufi songs, Ghazals, Hymns, and traditional Gujarati songs. Some of her popular songs are ‘Veer Vallabh Vande Vadan thousand’, ‘Chaap tilak sab chini’, ‘Muje meri masti’, ‘Saurashtra’s Vasi hum Patel kathiawadi’ and the list goes on…
Radadiya also performs with famous songsters like Osman Mir, Sairam Dave, Kirtidan Gadhvi, Mayabhai Ahir, and Bhajanik Laxman Barot.
